Guernsey Finance

Jim started his career with the Civil Service in his native Scotland. In 1970 he came to Guernsey to work for the States of Guernsey Income Tax. Jim moved into Banking in 1974 with Kleinwort Benson where he was, at various times, responsible for the Guernsey fiduciary services, CI/UK business development and private wealth management services. He was also Managing Director in Guernsey until his retirement at the end of 2006.

Jim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is a past Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Banks and an ex-President of the Guernsey Centre of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Jim is a Council member of the Guernsey International Business Association.

Jim is married to Barbara and they have four children and two grandchildren.
