A Chartered Accountant, John is the deputy managing director of Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited and has worked in banking and related financial services for 26 years. He has experience in many aspects of banking and this breadth of knowledge will be of benefit to the Association.

John is an Old Elizabethan and has played an active role in the local community. He has been Constable and Douzainier of St Peters, President of Guernsey Round Table and Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Charities.

The AGB provides a forum to debate issues as they arise that affect the banking industry. When necessary it is also a channel of communication with government and regulatory authorities and with the wider business community as a member of the Guernsey International Business Association (GIBA). The Association represents 38 licensed banks in Guernsey.
