Carey Olsen moves into top three for AIM listings
Guernsey-based Carey Olsen is continuing to strengthen its reputation as an adviser to firms listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM), according to a leading finance directory.
The latest Hemscott rankings show that in the first quarter of 2010 the law firm was one of the top three UK advisers for FTSE 100 AIM listed companies by number of clients.
Carey Olsen’s rise by eight places comes off the back of it advising two new blue chip clients that listed on AIM in the first three months of the year. They were Renewable Energy Generation Ltd and Raven Russia Ltd, the latter a Guernsey-registered property investment business specialising in commercial real estate in Russia.
Carey Olsen is now ranked as a top five UK legal adviser to total AIM clients by market capitalisation.
In the financials sector (those AIM listed companies working in finance), the firm is placed second both for number of clients and the market capitalisation of those clients. Carey Olsen is now just one client away from being the leading UK adviser to AIM listed clients in the financials sector.
Chairman John Kelleher said: “The Hemscott rankings show that we share a table with the major London law firms for advising clients who are listed on FTSE AIM and our position is recognition that our corporate group provides excellent client service and expertise in this area.”
