Butterfield staff in Guernsey are celebrating after the company was named ‘trust company of the year’ at the annual Citywealth awards*.

This comes after several Butterfield staff were nominated on the Citywealth Leaders List - a comprehensive guide to the most influential people in the sector.

Through email and telephone research, global wealth advisers and managers were confidentially polled and asked to recommend those companies offering first class client care and a comprehensive range of products/services for wealthy individuals.

The nominees were assessed by a group of independent judges in January and then again three months later to ensure that their selection had remained stable and successful. Butterfield came out as winners.

Editor of Citywealth, Karen Jones, said: “Butterfield Trust has a complement of staff that make them a force to be reckoned with. All have great respect from the wealth management industry for their personality and technical ability.”

In total, the Butterfield Group had four award nominations, out of which they won three.

Katie Booth and Rupert Jacobs of Butterfield International Private Office in London won ‘woman of the year’ and ‘the Citywealth tomorrow club for emerging advisers and managers in private wealth’ respectively*.

The Butterfield Group provides fiduciary services in several jurisdictions worldwide including: Bermuda, The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Malta, and Switzerland.
