Dr. Jo Salter MBE

First female fighter jet pilot, Former Director of Global Transformative Leadership for PwC, Partner in Temple Law AI

Jo Salter MBE made history as the UK’s first ever female fast jet pilot, flying the Tornado GR1 with 617 Squadron in the Royal Air Force. She joined the RAF at 18 and studied at the Royal Military College of Science, initially joining to become an engineering officer. When the rules changed to allow women to fly, she seized the opportunity and earned her fast jet wings in 1992.

Her career has always combined technical skill with trailblazing leadership.
