Gain access to expertise on Guernsey's substance, regulation and distribution of funds from our specialist delegation in Manchester.  

Rowan Stone – Guernsey Finance’s dedicated Business Development Representative for the North of England – will be joined by Toms Lees, Relationship Manager at Butterfield Group, Charlotte Parr, Director at Imperium Funds Services, Bryon Rees, Partner at Ogier and Nick Vermeulen, Senior Partner at PwC. 

Together, they will share their expertise on Guernsey as a world-leading jurisdiction for the servicing and domiciliation of all fund types. 

The delegation will hold a series of meetings with fund lawyers and investment managers to discuss Guernsey’s specialisms in investment funds of all asset classes.  

They will also attend The St James’s Club Property and Investment Lunch on 11 February and the Pro-Manchester Annual Corporate Finance Lunch on 13 February. 

Further discussions include Guernsey’s range of fund structures and vehicles, pragmatic regulatory environment and access to global markets.

Relationship Manager, Financial Intermediaries Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited

Tom joined Butterfield in October 2018 following their acquisition of Deutsche Bank’s Channel Island businesses. Tom has worked in a variety of roles including, Treasury, Private Banking, Cash Management, Operations, Custody and Fiduciary Banking, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Southampton University and the London Institute of Financial Services Diploma in Financial Services Management. In recent years he has worked in client facing roles providing solutions for Corporates, Captives, Trust companies and Fund Administrators in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man developing enduring relationships for the benefit of both bank and client.

Charlotte Parr

Director Imperium Fund Services Limited

Charlotte joined Imperium Fund Services Limited in 2020 and is a Director.

Charlotte holds a Diploma in International Finance and Administration, and has spent her career focusing on the establishment and regulation of private equity structures. She started her career at Ipes as part of their on-boarding team, assisting clients in all steps necessary to complete their fund formation process (including administration, FATCA, CRS, Depositary, Annex IV Reporting).

Charlotte has worked in the fund administration sector in Luxembourg and London, gaining an understanding of their jurisdictional requirements, managing teams, and servicing clients in both jurisdictions. Charlotte has extensive knowledge in establishing structures in Guernsey, Jersey, Luxembourg, and UK.

She is a member of the Marketing sub-committee of the Guernsey Investment & Funds Association.

Bryon Rees

Partner Ogier

Bryon advises on a broad range of private and listed asset management, corporate, regulatory and finance matters (including listing on The International Stock Exchange). 

As part of his practice he is a member of Ogier's multi-disciplinary private equity team, including advising on fund formation and capital raising, downstream corporate advisory work and related finance matters.

Bryon originally joined Ogier in 2005 and has previously worked at South African law firms, Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs and Deneys Reitz (now Norton Rose Fulbright). He is a Guernsey advocate, a South African attorney and an English solicitor. He holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Natal, South Africa, a Master of Laws degree from University College London and a Certificat d’Etudes Juridiques Francaises et Normandes from Université de Caen Basse-Normandie.

Rowan Stone

UK (North of England) Business Development Representative Guernsey Finance

Rowan joined the agency in June 2024 as Northern England Representative. His role includes developing the profile of Guernsey in northern England and promoting key products and services across investment funds, private wealth, insurance and pensions.  

Bringing more than two and a half decades’ experience as a strategic brand marketer to the role, Rowan has worked with international clients across numerous sectors in the advertising and marketing services industries. 

Born and raised in Guernsey, Rowan was educated at Elizabeth College and the Lancaster University Management School. He also spends time in his role as Owner of iamrowan Ltd, a Manchester-based brand marketing strategy consultancy and new business facilitator, and as Chairman of The St James’s Club - a Private Members Club in Manchester.

Nick Vermeulen

Channel Islands Senior Partner PwC

Nick is the Territory Senior Partner for PwC Channel Islands. He holds more than 30 years' experience in financial services, with his background primarily in innovation and technology-focused financial services.

Nick works with established operators and start-ups and has been a trusted advisor to a number of clients during growth. Nick assists clients in reviewing business processes and target operating models as they look to restructure, face a regulatory problem or system or process issue particularly with regulatory issues arising from their client due diligence and take on procedures.

During his career, he has looked after fund of hedge funds and other limited lifespan private equity fund vehicles, including split capital funds vehicles. Nick is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Computer Science from Manchester University. He is also a member of the Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts in the Channel Islands.
