Neil Hoolahan

Partner Grant Thornton

Neil is a Partner in Grant Thornton's Channel Islands tax team and specialises in offshore trust and company tax advisory and compliance services.

At present, Neil is advising clients on the implications of the proposed changes to the taxation of non-domiciliary and what impact these changes will have on trust structures in the Channel Islands.  Neil also leads Grant Thornton's tax information exchange service line and has a deep understanding of the US FATCA and OECD Common Reporting Standards and is the Channel Island lead on Grant Thornton’s global asset management tax working party.  Neil regularly advises on the creation and on-going management of fund structures in particular the use of Guernsey Private Investment Funds and how these can be used by UHNW families to assist with the transfer of family wealth to future generations.

Neil has been listed as one of the City wealth's Top 50 Global Tax Professionals of 2025 having been name in the Top 100 tax advisors in 2023 and was named City wealth's Future Leaders Accountant of the Year in 2018.

Grant McLeod

South Africa Representative Guernsey Finance
Grant was appointed as South African Representative for Guernsey Finance in March 2021. He has more than two decades of financial services experience in senior business development roles in South Africa, UK and the Cayman Islands. He was educated in the UK and South Africa. He has worked in private banking, wealth management and fiduciary services in South Africa in a number of senior roles representing global companies. As well as a BCom from the University of Witwatersrand, Grant holds a UK accounting and South African CFP qualification, and is a member of CII and CISI in the UK.

Rupert Pleasant

Chief Executive Guernsey Finance

Rupert moved to Guernsey as a boy and was educated in the island. His career in financial services has taken him around the globe, beginning in London, moving onto Hong Kong, Cape Town, Zurich and Geneva, before returning to Guernsey. His background is in private banking and trust and corporate services, where he has held senior management roles in a number of global companies. As well as an MBA from the University of Cape Town, Rupert holds a law degree, and is a member of STEP, CISI and the Institute of Directors.

Rupert sits on a number of local government and industry committees, and represents Guernsey at the Senior Leadership Council of TheCityUK, as well as at the BVCA and AIC. In his spare time, Rupert is President of the Guernsey Rugby Academy and a Freeman of the City of London.

Ray Tully

Head of Strategy and Growth Orbitus Group

Ray Tully joined Jupiter as Head of Strategy and Growth in May 2024. He began his career in banking, spending 20 years with AIB in Dublin before moving to Guernsey in 1996 to take up a Commercial Assistant Manager role with RBSI. At RBSI, Ray managed loan portfolios in the property and investment sectors and was part of the Business Development team.

In 2006, Ray transitioned to the fiduciary sector, joining Praxis Group in Guernsey as Head of Marketing and Business Development. There, he played a key role in expanding the group's international presence from 1 to 16 offices. Notably, he helped the funds business grow into a sector leader, which was later sold to Sanne Group Plc for over £50 million in 2021. 

Ray also served as a credit consultant to Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund for over five years while at International Fund Management Ltd, a Praxis Group company. He later became Managing Director of Praxis Corporate Finance Ltd, providing debt solutions to the group's clients. In his final two years at Praxis, Ray was Group Head of Growth, a member of the Executive Committee (EXCO), and part of the Investment Committee. In 2023, Ray successfully set up the Praxis Dublin office. He now brings his extensive experience to Orbitus Group, drawn by its 30-year track record and established foundations in Funds, Trust, Corporate, and Pensions.
