Deborah Meaden and Jamie Laing to host Founders Fireside at Guernsey Private Wealth Forum 2025

The special guests for this year’s Guernsey Private Wealth Forum are confirmed to be Dragon’s Den host, Deborah Meaden and Candy Kittens founder, Jamie Laing. The entrepreneurs will participate in a Founders Fireside as the forum’s main event to discuss their insights on business leadership and investment.  

Deborah is a renowned entrepreneur, and author of the bestselling book “Why Money Matters”, an accessible guide into the world of money for six to nine-year-olds. Committed to upholding ethical and fair business practices, she is also a representative of various wildlife charities, such as the WWF and the Marine Conservation Society. 

Jamie is a media personality and presenter, as well as the founder of Europe’s fastest growing confectionery company and Jampot Productions, under which he hosts two hit podcasts, NewlyWeds with his wife Sophie Habboo, and Great Company. He first gained recognition for his appearances on the TV show Made in Chelsea. 

The forum, entitled From Startup to Legacy: Building and Preserving Wealth, will feature two panel discussions moderated by fiduciary expert Paul Hodgson.  

The speaker line-up for the first panel on Building Wealth will include Alexander Joshi, Head of Behavioural Finance at Barclays Private Bank, and Juliet Young, Partner at Schillings. 

Discussing the subject of Preserving Wealth, the second panel will comprise of Gillian Browning, Deputy Director General of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, Edward Emblem, S&W Partner, Kerrie Le Tissier, Country Head – Guernsey of HIGHVERN, and Helen McGhee, Partner at Joseph Hage Aaronson & Bremen LLP. 

Rupert Pleasant, Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance, will deliver the welcome address and closing remarks.

The sold-out event will take place in London on Wednesday 15 October, concluding with a drinks reception and networking session.
